Spooky School Daze

Universal Vare STEM & ARTS Charter School celebrated the Harvest Season and Halloween with a schoolwide spirit day titled, ‘Spooky School Daze’ to keep their student scholars in grades 5-8 safe and secure. The scholars of Vare took part in a number of seasonal activities and some of the students performed Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” for their fellow classmates and staff.

The staff and administrators of Universal Vare transformed the school hallways into a festive day of learning and fun activities. The event was in recognition of the hard work the scholars exuded during asynchronous learning, their current attendance records and academic success. The activities included trick and treating by the children, Fear Factor, Escape Room, Making S’mores, Movie Room and many more.

Hats off to Principal Karen Howell-Toomer, her fine staff and scholars for making this festive event! Additionally, we want to thank Manager Frank Pelic of Walmart Columbus Boulevard for donating the candy and the Philadelphia Phillies Deborah Rinaldi and Kenny Johnson for donating 150 Phillies caps. The donations were greatly appreciated and made the event more enjoyable!
